Hello all,

Is it possible to give actual address in AR11 when moving (correct me if I am wrong, to my understanding that is required by law), but provide another address (like a friends address) for 485 process communications, to make sure that one doesn't have to inform INS often if he is on short projects all the time?

please reply. thank you

As per the Law you need to report everytime you move, it is illegal to report false/incorrect address on AR11 form.

I have gleaned the following snippet from www.murthy.com
chat transcript of Aug 19, 2002. I hope this answers rbls5's
question.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chat User : Dear Sheelaji, thanks for your time. Can a person
give a "c/o" address after filing his/her I-485 if s/he is out of
the country for work?

Attorney Murthy : One may choose to provide an "in care of"
address for I-485 purposes. It is not clear if that is also
permissible for filing the AR-11, and without any INS guidance
this is one more gray area of the law to which no one can
provide an accurate answer.

Hope this helps a bit.

Regards,
OHLad
