Address change and Fingerprinting--->485 case

Hi,
I have called the NSC 1-800 number 4 times and asked them to change my address to my aunts address and every time they have told me that INS would send a confirmation mail of the address change to my house and that never came.
So I called them month after month but to no avail.
Everytime I call NSC they say they have no way of know what the address is and to file a new address change request again.
I have written a letter to the Texas Service Center once also.
My question is:
What do I need to do to make sure they change my address.
Why dont these guys at INS tell us whether or not they have changed the address and if so, what the current address is?
Also 1 year of my 485 is over and my 1st fingerprinting has not come yet. Should I start getting worried?
I am doing my 485 in the Texas Service Center.
Regards,
Tightwait...

Same thing happened to me

I filed AR-11 too. I don't know if they have changed my address. No way to verify that. Never received confirmation letter but they sent me AR-11 which I told them I can download it from internet. My 485 is 14 month old and never got FP.
It seemed you have moved for a few months. Some guys said moving can trigger FP, maybe just conincidence.

Well i am trying to change my address since june. Did not happen till now. I tried atleast 6 times till now , once every month. Send 3 AR11s to VSC. No luck.

Speaking with couple of officers didnt help either.

The only thing they can do is send a request to VSC to update the address and we all know how VSC works.

Last week i called my local congress man's office(ferguson, congress man for the 7th district of NJ) and told them the entire story. They told me that they will send an email to VSC with our A#s and new address. On the same day i sent one more AR11 to VSC. This time a certified mail.

Because of this my wife's EAD which we applied in Jan 03 and reapplied for replacement in June, was mailed back to VSC. NOw its time for renew of EAD and i am wondering if i should go ahead and apply for the renewal.

To make a long story short, forget about GC approvals VSC cant do address changes also.

Good luck guys. Any luck do post it here.

cheers

Address Change

I'm working thru my local congressman too. So far they say they recd an email from the Texas Service Center telling that the address has been changed but when I placed a call to the INS they say that my name and address is still showing up as blank.
So I went back to the congressman's office and told them that even tho TSC says they have changed my address the changed address is not showing up on the customer services computers.
Now I am waiting for the congressmans offices reply.
Yeah, it frustrates me that the INS cant even do simple address changes.

NOTE: I am not a lawyer. All these are my opinions not written in stone.

Address Change

Hi folks,

we moved to a new location and I applied AR11. Also called NSC two times. Yeserday I got a confirmation letter from NSC stating that my address has bee updated. I was really surprised by that.

So hopefully you will get that too...

When did you moved and how many days it took to get the confirmation from NSC?

Also did you send any letter to NSC or just you called.

What stage is your case at.
