Hello
I have filed my 485 and the papers have reached INS on March 15th. I work for a company based in Dallas but currently posted in NY branch on a brief consulting service. I want to transfer to NY without having to do the dreaded Processing Center Change. What are my options? I am thinking of asking my employer to keep me under the Dallas Payroll so that I can avoid the address change. Can someone give me some pointers on what I should take care of? I am willing to keep my address in dallas until I get the greencard which I hope happens in a year from now. Does a local address change (redirecting mails to a friends house) cause any problem? Please help. Employer is willing to help as long as it is reasonable for them.
