Address change = addl. processing time

I changed my address in April '03 and promptly sent AR-11 to BCIS. Waited until June to receive an acknowledgement and then called them. New address was not available in the database and they noted new address. I was supposed to get a confirmation in mail. Waited until October and then called again. Finally got the confirmation yesterday with the dreaded note : "please allow additional 60 days of processing time"

Anyone else had similar experience?

I moved to new address more than a year ago.
I filed AR-11 and called VSC and updated them in Sep 2002.
Then called them twice to check whether they updated the address because I didn't receive acknowledgement from BCIS. They took my old and new address everytime saying that they will update their system.

I have filed AR-11 and called VSC and updated them for address change in October 1st week. I called them 2 weeks back to confirm the address change and it was same old address but tier 2 officer told me to send copy of AR-11 form along with I485 notice to vermont service center address and attn to Change of address with cover letter mentioning your I-485 detail. I did that and called again yesterday to confirm address change and to my surprise the new address got updated.

I will advice here everybody to inform VSC also in writting to be a safe side.

Which number did you call to confirm address change?

I just called the BCIS 800 number, the representative told me they can only take down my new address again. And there is not a number I can call to confirm if my change address request has been processed.

BTW: I updated my address 5 months ago throught both sending ar-11 and called the INS vermont center. But I never received any mail confirm about it.

Y Zhang,

Pl asked them you want to talked to tier II officer since you have some questions on I-485. Tier II office will be able to tell you.

Also, please inform VSC with AR-11 form and copy of i-485 notice with cover letter attn: change of address.

ok, called, confirmed the address is current. But got extrely bad mood after calling.

The tier 2 lady is axxhole. she was extremely impatient when I asked my application status. Just told me to wait. And threatened me to cancell my case when I was explaining my 12/2001 case which has FP expired 4 months. And eventrually hanged up my call.

Y Zhang,

Did you get the person's name? May be you should complain for rude behaviour.

As to the address change question, i changed residence twice within the state and havent had any problem/delay. But i changed before the National number came into effect and along with it all the confusion.
