Adding spouse to I-485 application: Urgent help

Hi all,

Thanks in advance for reading my post.

I applied for employment-based GC (485 notification date July 8, 2002)

I have an EAD and AP (renewed).

I also have a second appointment for FP April 1st week.

I'm getting married end of April and returning from India to the US May 15th-ish.

My fiance' is on an H-1 and is unlikely to get a GC on his own from his employer. I'd like to add him as a dependent on my GC application.

Would it be too risky to wait till mid-May? Is there a possibility I might get my GC approved meanwhile??

Is there any way to stall/delay it so I can add his application after marriage?

if you think you can;t wait until May, if she is in US, you can marry her in US.

daisy...it looks like time's running out a bit. Add his application to yours as soon as the marriage is over and you are back in states. Since he has H1, he too will be here (right ?)
Currently, March-april-may 02 approvals are going on. So, dont wait too long.
 
Are you both present in US now?

if yes then ........ just go for marriage/court and get ur marriage registered............. and then india/Pak you can celebrate whaterver traditionals are....


so before u leave u should be registered as Hus/Wife doesn't matter u update ur file later..... when returened.....

As suggested above get married here in court and file 485 ASAP else you will have a long wait ahead for you reunion if your 485 gets through .
