I have different names on my Birth certificate and Passport.
While submitting my DS160 for my F1 visa (2019) I had put the birth certificate name under "Other Names Used" Section
On my H1B petition (I-129) my lawyer has put N/A under the other names used section.
To get my visa stamped, I have put my other name on the DS160 to keep it consistent with prior (F1) DS160 that I had filled. What should be my next steps? Can I go ahead for the stamping, or do I need to ask my company/lawyer to make an amendment to the petition to include the other name prior to travelling for H1B stamping?
