Add the Child in the GC process.

Hi all,

my i-485 RD is 04/03/2002 and still waiting for a deciscion to be made on the my i-485. currently i am on 2nd EAD.

Question : can i add my child to the GC process, my kid was born in india after i applied i-485.

Question : if i adopt a child, can i add adopted kid to the GC process.

No u cannot as u need to be a citizen to internationally adopt. GC holders or would bees cannot adopt internationally. You can get all the info from " Accept"...just type this in google and u will come across international adoption.
 
You can add your child born in India to your AOS petition. But cannot adopt a child and bring him/her on your pending AOS.

Though if you had completed the adoption process before applying for GC, you could have bought the child as your dependent.

On a side track, if you are considering adoption or have done so already, please allow me to congratulate you. With the number of orphans in society right now, and the population explosion being what it is, it is wonderful to see people thinking outside the box and doing something good for society. 3 cheers to you, god bless and good luck!
