Documents
She8me,
I was required to bring the following documents:
Interview letter, Passport and I-94
Medical Exam results
3 Yers of Federal Tax Returns
Current Letter of Employment
Original Birth and Marriage/Divorce Certificates
The interview was great. A very pleasant and affable adjudicating officer conducted the interview. I was first administered the oath then asked to sign and fingerprint both sides of the I-551 card. Next came the questioning. It's basically to verify your identity (what's your father's name, your mother's name, day of birth, place of birth, etc.), after that, I was asked some perfunctory yes/no questions.
I was then asked for the employment letter and I-94. My passport was not stamped since it expires in August. In lieu of that, I was asked to bring the approval letter together with two photographs for a temporary card. I have yet to receive the approval letter.
I did not redo my medical exam as requested by the letter. I called the center and was told that the items are checked off as a routine. If the requested documents were sent along with the I-485 application, there is no need to bring them (I had submitted my medical exam results with my application). Please consult your legal counsel as each case is different.
As I said, the interview was a breeze! It's been a roller-coaster ride from the start until now. I'm glad the fat lady has sung and it's over now!
Best wishes to you and all waiting for approvals on this board.
