Working as H1B before approval?
I'm a teacher, with a J1 visa, wanting to apply for an H1B visa and will know in October if my visa has been approved or not. Schools however start in August and there will be few schools willing to employ a teacher that will only be available in October. Do I assume the new H1B visa status, if approved, or am I only able to assume the status upon receivement of my H1B visa?
