I once was out of school for one academic year on medical grounds (F1), this was authorized by the school during that time i was just idling meanwhile my health issue was taken care of and I resumed school later. If I do CP will this be a big issue?

No, not a problem, providing you made up for the lost time, graduated and received the equivalent of a US High School Diploma.

However if you were unable to complete your final exams or you completed less than 12 years of schooling, then you should get your educational history formally evaluated by a US-based educational evaluator.
