I am EB3 ROW and my I-140 has been approved for more than a year. My case is very old and I believe that my I485 should get approved in the next few months however I am considering changing jobs before receiving my I485 approval.
Could anyone please describe the process to change jobs under AC-21? Are there any risks involved (I heard that the previous employer could "revoke" the I140)? Any documentation I should collect before getting started (most of my immigration documents are kept by my company lawyer)? Is it OK to take a job in a different state under AC21? Is it safer to just wait for the I485 approval and then switch jobs (I heard there was a 6-month waiting period to do that after receiving the I485)?
Any advice is really appreciated. I can not really turn to my lawyer (who is paid by my company) for these questions so I really need your help.
