I filed my I485 in December 2001; Changed job and also filed AC21 in August 2003. I am still waiting for the decision on my I485 application.
I am planning to change my employer again and join a third company as a manager.
My question is: Should the job profile exactly match with my original profile. My original profile says "software engineer" and this new job will be "engineering manager". Can my new employer file for AC21 in this condition? Technically speaking I am not changing my field, just growing in the same field.
Also, should I rush into joining this new company and file AC21 ASAP, because if I don't and get my GC before the move, then I believe I'll have to stick to my present company for another 6 months atleast.
Any suggestions?
