AC21 portability process for I-485 under NIW catagory

Dear Gurus,

I had my NIW I-140 approved in 2004 and my I-485 was filed and received in Dec. 2004. I did mine non-current. I-140 was self-petitioned but I-485 was filed by company attorney on my behalf.

If I switch employer (but in the same field as NIW claim) for family reasons, how should I best handle my I-485? Should I write a statement to switch attorney and notify USCIS? Should I just ask company attorney to hand my case to me? Does anyone on this board have similar experience who could offer any help?

I think it should be ok for you. you can change your lawer or use the same lawer. as long as you are in the same filed you claimed, you should be good.
