My I-485 has been pending more than 180 days and I took Contract-W2 offer from a consulting company so my employment with this company will be temporary and I am a contract employee for them. Please let me know will it make a major issue when I will respond to RFEs. Do I need to be in a full-time employee of a company when I respond to RFEs?

Please let me know what you think about my situation ASAP as I am about to get RFE pretty soon.

Any kind of help would be appreciated in this regard.

yes. you need a full-time position to secure your application. but i also want to know any successful or failed 485 story based on Contract-W2 offer.
don't want to guess...or reject a good offer...

please share your experience(true story).

Thanks for your response. If my consulting company, for whom I took this W2 offer, is willing to respond RFE mentioning me as a full time employee, will that be safe? or better to get a permanent offer from some other company.
 
The job should be a full time permanent. The simple definition of permanent is no end date and no 1099. W-2 hourly is OK- provided there is no end date.
