AC21-changing jobs, 15 day gap

Hi,
I have changed jobs, using AC21. My 1-485 is retrogressed. Previous job ended on 31st july. Next job was supposed to start on 1st august, however because of some logistic issues(inefficient process of hospital credentialling), i dont think i will be able to start working before 15th august, perhaps even 1st september. Am I out of status, or is it safe?
Please advice.

NOt sure you can consult an attorney to be certain. Another option to consider is to back date your employment contract to 1st August and take the current time off as vacation time.
