AC21- changing job within company

Could you gurus give some advice about job change within company?

My I-485 RD is Jan,2002. My question is can I change jobs within the sponsoring company if the job has a different title and in a different field?

Does anyone know any cases which was denied due to change of jobs within the sponsoring company? Thanks.

AC21 endows portability to an otherwise approved I-140 which in turn is based on labor certification (essentially establishing that within the MSA, even a minimally qualified person is not available to fill a certain open position). The onus therefore is on you to prove that your new job is substantially similar to the one that formed the basis of the labor market test.

I would be very surprised if a job change involving a different title in a different field conformed to this standard.
