AC21 and Taking Long Break

Gurus,

I plan on going to home country for 6 mo+ for study/vacation etc
I will be resigning from my present job. I plan on finding new job after coming back.

will be using AP for re entry. Any issue coming back?
In Adjudication interview, do they ask for continued employment?

Spoke to one of the lawyer. According to him

- I can resign/find a new job. No time limit
- I can travel for upto 4 months
- Before traveling, I should join new company and then take leave of absence
