AC21 and job change

My 485 is currently pending at VSC. If I were to join my client that falls under Texas (TSC) jurisdiction, does my application move from VSC to TSC or just stays in VSC? I am thinking about this as TSC is very slow.

Thanks.

well ur file will transfer to local office if the officer thinks that u need an interview. If ur lawyer notifies INS of the job change then u wil get an interview for sure... but AC21 does not require u to write a letter and send it. Most lawyers say that wait till u get an RFE. I would suggest that just submit the AR11 and change the address on the file so when and if u are called for an interview it is near u. If u are lucky u will get a notice from VSC directly either RFE or aproval. Make sure u are covered with the 180 day rule and u get the same payroll from the new company.

This is just an edjucated guess ... I could be wrong too but I think I am not.... so do reconfirm

and good luck ... I am also thinking of changing my employer

I was in a similar situation, when I spoke with my attorney he said. It is very much possible when you move to other service center the case will be moved to the new service center which means you are inviting problems in your case. When a case is moved from a service center to another service center they need to move all your paper work and related information manually and with my attorneys experience it is found the case is never moved perfect they all always miss some information and you get RFE or get in some problem.

Although it is allowed to move to diffrent place per AC21; it depends on how much a person wants to take the risk.

Thanks for your responses! I have one more question, if I make an arrangement with my current employer (that filed my GC) that he lets continue my GC process with him and just join my client with his approval. If my employer okays this plan and when my GC is approved (God knows when, my PD is Apr 1, 2004) then will USCIS ask me why did I quit the current employer in the first place? How does this thing work?

Also, when my EAD and AP is up for renewal, where do I get it done, VSC or TSC with the above arrangement?

Usually transfers does not happen because of the move or job changes. There is memo about transfers. I do no not think there will be transfer because of your move. I moved from VSC to NSC and then to TSC. I have informed the job changes. No transfer happened Finally I got approval at Houston TX.

EAD and AP should be applied where your I-485 is pending. Hence you will file AP and EAD at VSC.
