ac 21 question. gurus pls help

My 140 was approved last year and 485 has been pending for more than 1 year.
I am now being offered a new position in the same company. only that i will be moving from an engineering position to a technical marketing position. the job duties are different but the requirements for the job are almost the same as my current position. since it is within the same company do i need to file ac21. also since the positions are different will it qualify for ac21?
also even though i have my EADs i am still using my H1-B for my employment so can i change using that and not my EAD/AC21.

--if u remain in the same company, why do u have to inform CIS about invoking AC21? It is more useful u change employer and not while changing job within the same company.

if ur company is supporting u for all future RFEs, then just keep "mum" and n'joy ur new position in marketing (ofcourse, in marketing... u don't keep "mum"!!)
