AC-140 In Montreal

Hi, Kd1403 and others:

Do you guys know the consulate in Montreal accept AC-140? I filed i-140/i-485 concurrent on May 5, 2003, still waiting for the 140 approval.
I wonder later on when my I-140 approval comes can I go ahead and file
I-824 to change from AOS to CP and go for AC-140 in Montreal? I've checked some website for AC-140, still don't know it for sure. I came from Canada.
 
Thanks for the reply. I read everything carefully, couldn't find the information about the AC-140 accepted in Montreal, According to my understanding, I can chang to CP with the receipt of I-824, not AC-140, am I rigth? I don't know if anybody in this forum has ever done AC-140 in Montreal.

Answer: AC I-140 is based on I-824 receipt.

I also tried to find a posting which could prove that AC I-140 is accepted @Montreal but could not find something along those lines.

But here is what you can do:
1. Send an email to Montreal consulate immigrant visa section (if any) or general visa help desk and ask if they accept AC I-140 based on I-824 receipts? See what they have to say!

2. Go to www.cptracker.com and sort the listing by Consulate = Montreal in the drop down and send emails to the folks who have their emails listed and see if they can provide information and/ or direction
