My case (AC I140) was sent to New Delhi consulate on the 25th of this month. How did you confirm that your packet was received by bombay consulate? Did you call them or did you receive an email from them?
 
No, I have not received any communication form the consulate.
I had the DHL tracking number which indicated that the package was delivered on 09/29.
 
I called New Delhi consulate yesterday night and they said they have not yet received my Packet 3. I am going through ac I140.They asked me for the case number. Does anyone know how to get a case number when it is an AC I140 case? How do you confirm that they have accepted my case? Anyone please help.
 
According to some posts on this forum,
anywhere from 1 week to 6 weeks after
receiving the case consulate will send an
email to email address included in the
cover letter. In this email they will say if they
have accepted the case and include the case
number if they have accepted.
 
Received email from Mumbai Consulate today (10/10/2003), case number was included in the email.
