AC-140 and I-824 question.

1) Is my AOS (485) considered abandoned if I file for I-824?
2) Any tips for doing AC-140 (Chennai Consulate) would also be very much appreciated.

I contacted Chennai Consulate reg AC140. I got a response saying that they will do AC-140 based on a case to case basis and based on work load.

I tried searching sites like cptracker, I couldn't find any practical case being approved in Chennai Consulate. I know people who got approved at Mumbai Consulate.

I am in the same boat. If you know some info, pls let me know.

Attorney Murthy replied that Chennai Consulate normally doesn't process AC-140. When she went to India (Oct 1), she personally asked the consulate people about this and they feel that they are not obligated to process AC-140.

So.....we have to wait in the long queue.
