Absence on Finger print for GC

My friend filed his PR application on Dec 2006 base on asylum and got Biometric (Finger print) notice on May 2007. But he was out of town and he couldn't go to the service center. His attny wrote a letter to USCIS to reschedule the appointment but nothing happen till now. Would you please tell us what should we do at this situation?

These things cancelled by attorneys can become tricky. I remember my attorney cancelled my first asylum interview and I did not receive anything for over a year until I moved and ANOTHER attorney made effort to find out the status of my case and re-schedule my interview. If your friend filed in Dec-2006, at least fingerprint should have been done; actually the case could be approved already.

I would not waste any time- I'd bug everyone until I get a fingerprint appointment- or the case will go to limbo- or worse, they can try to deny it.
