Hello friends,
I have completed all the paperwork needed to submit the I-130 and I-495 for AOS. IS there anything specific I should ask the people at the INS(Tampa SO) after I submit my application? Please give me some tips from all those who have gone through and completed this process which might help me to avoid mistakes.I am kinda tensed about it and always wonder if I am missing something.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks.

If you attach all documents asked for in the application, you should be OK. Remember to include correct fees and also mail it to the correct address. Check www.immigration.gov for details.
Keep copies of ALL documents including applications.

Once the application is received, you should get a receipt notice in about 6-8 weeks time. You can then use the receipt number to check status of your application.

Hi,
I am not submitting the medical examination at the time of submission of the AOS forms. Will it be okay if I take the completed form with me at the time of interview or it has to be submitted before the interview begins? Also when do I pay for fingerprinting? What is the usual cost of a medical exam if I have immunization records with me?
Thanks!!

If you do not submit medical reports along with I-485, you will receive an RFE. Medical reports are required BEFORE I-485 is approved/you are interviewed.

You will receive a notice for fingerprinting. You are better off paying for FP along with other fees for I-130/485.

Check with the an INS approved doctor for medical tests. My guess is it will be 200-500 dollars.
