About to apply for my GC

Hello,
Let me thank the members of this group for your valued assistance.! I am a British Citizen who has lived in the British Virgin Islands for basically all my life. I girl friend is an amrican citizen and we are about to get married in a couple of weeks.
Is it possible for me to move to the USA and work once we are married?
I do have a visitors visa, but i would love to beable to stay with my wife to be and work while i file for a GC.
How long will the process take once we are married and i have filed for the GC?
If i am not able to work, can I be given permission to stay with my wife in the states?

There are a few ways of how you could do this

1. Ask your fiance to file the I129F fiance visa petition and once approved you can come to the US on a K-1 visa and get married and file the I485.

or you could get married and file the K-3 visa (for married couples)
