so they are pllanning to enforce the new address reporting law, fine.

so what about the ones who are already here, and moved? Do we file a current address now, and then follow up every move from then on?

It is not a new law; they are just enforcing it. Yes you have to report your address in Form AR-11, within ten days of every change of residence.

If one has never reported address moves before, and suddenly reports it now, is it a problem since INS could not find any address on any file?

It will be very surprising if the INS at least does not have on file where they mailed your GC. But there is no saying anything is possible with amount of applications/paperwork INS receives.

Address Verification

How do you verify what address is there currently on file with INS?
If one has sent the AR-11 form, how does one verify that the same has been recieved and updated in INS records?

What about visitors on B2

My parents came here in April, and we moved. We notified INS about address change only for ourselves using AR-11 and by calling IIO since our 485 is pending. Not for my parents. They leave in September, is it necessary to send AR-11 form for them also, if so what do we fill for the A#, because they do not have one.

Thanks for any replies
