About reinstating my F1 visa

It is been a month since i got here due to personal reason i didn't join the school that accepts me.So they told me that i have to reinstate my visa and continue my edu.or go back to my home land.My question is that if i request for reinstatement , do i have a chance of getting it or is there any other option?

Our school counselor said several times that USCIS allowed a semester without taking classes, but I think you had to ask for permission to do that.. and I am not completely sure if that is true... have you checked with the Internatinal Advisor at your school? Make sure you talk to the person that really knows, not the office assistants.
 
OP arrived in US and never enrolled. DSOs are required to report non-attendence to the federal authorities You MUST attend school or depart the country. Any break in attendence is for something like the summer term when classes are not offered.

Since you have personal reasons for not attending school, you should leave immediately and apply again one you have your personal situation resolved.
