My name is Atif Ahmed Shaik and I am currenlty in the united states on an F-1 visa. I was issued the F-1 visa on Aug 18, 2006. unfortunately due to a mistake in how my name appeared in the passpart the visa was issued under the following name
Last Name : Shaik Atif Ahmed
First Name: FNU.
I have faced several problems in the united states because of the missing First Name.
I corrected my name in my Indian passport at the consulate in houston and now it is correctly mentioned as
First Name: Atif
Last Name: Ahmed.
I am planning to visit india next week and I will be there for a short time that is just15 days due to family emmergency so i have no time there to correct my visa .I need to know that does it create some problem at the time of port of entry.
I also need to know that if i book a slot there to get f1 visa do i need to take all the documents again like bank statement ,affidavit of support , and ds forms and all.
I have seen one user harsha olaik i need help from you.
