About Change Address

I have a question about Change address for my friend. My friend moved but then my friend didn't send the change of address form to INS and it's been like more than a year now. The question is will there be any consequence if she fill and send change of address form late ? will there any problem in getting green card later or citizenship? Should she still fill and send change of address form ? Please help me. Thanks.

unless there INS has not communicated with your friend through your friend's previous address or has sent any correspondence to your friend's previous address that required her/his attention and response, i don't think there should be any problem.

INS obviously have no idea when your friend moved so she/he can just go ahead and send the change of adress form. there is nowhere asking you for the date yu moved. it's a very simple form. i just changed mine about 2 weeks ago although i moved about 9months ago.
