Abandon or withdraw

I need a second opinion on this:
Married to a USC, filed 485 for GC. 8 months into the process, the wife becomes a drug addict( running with the wrong crowd). She was arrested for stealing a car with a friend..go figure. Fast forward to tday..divorce filed and granted. Got married traditionally back home to a USC ( she's orginally from the same country).
Question is..
1. Do I abandon the previous 485. How long is it before the application is considered abandoned.
2. Can I withdraw the application an file for a new GC based on the current marriage?. DOes this raise any red flags?. I can prove the reasons why the first marriage failed...

Any opinions?

So long you apply to witdrawn the previous application, you should be fine, and return any benefit therfore. EG CG, EAD, AP. Also you may have to get your former spouse to apply for the witdrawal of the previous pettition.
