A unique situation

Hi CP Gurus,

I have a situation here, my wife would be delivering most probably by the end of September, and coincidently our Interviews would be scheduled during that time. Now there are two cases.

1. If she delivers after the interview, what are the steps to be taken to add on the new born to our application

2. If she delivers before the interview, is the new born added automatically .. I have no idea about this.

Please any ideas.

Scenario A: Where are you? If you are in the US, just let her deliver and the baby becomes automatically US Citizen. You can postpone your interview or your wife's interview.

Scenario B: If you are outside of the US and she delivers before the interview, then it is prudent to notify the consulate immediately. If you have the interview and entered the US before she delivers, then scenario A still prevails.
