Hello,

Me and my family members are from Morocco.
We have been interviewed on August 26, 2013 to pursue our application for a DV-2013.

On September 19, 2013, we submitted the missed documents (Netherlands police records).

Deadline to obtain a DV-2013 visa is September 30, 2013, otherwise our registration will expire.
Today is 26 September 2013, I do a little worry since our case is time-sensitive.

When I emailed the consulate and asked them if we must appear at their service or we have to wait until we will be contacted by them, here is the answer I got:
Applications undergoing administrative processing:
If you have not yet been contacted by us, this means that your case is still undergoing administrative processing. Unfortunately, we cannot determine how long it will take to complete this process. It is not uncommon for this procedure to take a few months or even longer. Please be assured that we will contact you as soon as your application is cleared. We urge you not to make any travel plans until you hear from us.
Now my question is as below:
Today is September 26, 2013, and in the case I will not be contacted by them before September 30 (deadline date),
Will it means that our registration is expired and we will not obtain the visa???
Any useful infos please?
Any suggestions?

Unfortunately if you don't get approved by September 30th you will not receive a visa, the law is very specific about it. My suggestion is to try to contact the embassy again by phone or face to face with a consular officer. You CANNOT rely on email, as the answer you have now is simply a standard response to any AP inquiry. You need to truly impress upon them that the deadline is final, because sometimes newer consular officers simply don't know about it.

The answer they gave is a generic answer. Most embassies and staff would be aware of the time sensitive nature of your case. HOWEVER, if you don't get the visa approved by end of the day on Monday you will lose your opportunity - there is no way to extend the deadline.

Considering you handed in your missing documents a few days ago you should now be able to get the case completed (assuming that was the only reason you were on AP). If I were you, I would be doing ALL I could to make sure they were processing the case right now. I would call, email or I would go knock on the door - whatever you can do to make sure they are working on it. Do NOT assume they know about the deadline - some staff may not have put 2 and 2 together.

Do everything in your power to talk to a human. And then if they don't get the urgency of the matter, talk to a supervisor.

This is an opportunity of a lifetime. Don't take rest for a minute, or there is a chance you will regret it for the rest of your life.
