Got our Passport Stamped day before yesterday.
It took more than 4.5 years, but it is done.

Here are the details:
PD: Nov \'96 EB3 SC
TD: Jun 13th \'99 Baltimore
FP: Aug 5th \'00 Baltimore

Reached at the office, an hour or so early. Suited-Booted as they say back home. Handed out interview notice to the officer at the window, who then stamped it received\' and told us that someone will call us in at the scheduled interview time. Saw a lady leaving the interview area, with her eyes all red and tear. Filled us with apprehension and we were relaxed no more. Was called in 15 minutes past the Interview time. Both me and spouse were called in together (Separate interview times in the Interview Notice though). The officer called us in and accompanied us to her office. She was very polite and efficient. Seared us in before asking us to sit. Asked questions regarding involvement in any criminal activities, deportation activities, arrest, etc. Asked for employee letter (original), copies of W2s,tax returns and paystubs, marriage certificate. And that\'s it. She said she will go ahead and approve. She then took our finger print (index finger) for the plastic card and asked us to wait outside until she gets the A#s. She said the plastic card will take anywhere between 2-5 months. She asked us to verify the address. After 2 hours of wait; she came out and congratulated us and gave us our stamped passports and we then started breathing again!
The whole experience was very nice, the officers were very professional.
The whole idea of the interview I feel was to make sure they have all the papers they need to go ahead and approve and close the case.
Hope this helps.
Keep the faith,
