is it possible that lawyers might indicate at the time of 485 application that they want the case be transferred to local office?

according to my lawyer, 9 out of 10 cases were interviewed.

how do u guys think?

If you are talking about employment based adjustment, then I don\'t think so. Normally, the INS will not interview employment based cases. Unless there are questions in the application that can not be answered through REF. In addition, I hear the spouse of the primary applicant might has a higher chance of being transfered to the local INS. Even that is done randomly. Plus, transfer to local INS does not necessary mean interview either. Please check with the resource at www.ISN.ORG (the immigrant support network), I think there is a sub-topic about this issue.
