How do you know that a finger print request notice has been issued for a I485 filer if they don't change the status online ?

In my case, I have used AC21 and have already informed CIS about the same.

If say ... for example my previous lawyer gets the FP Notice, how would I know as I have no good terms with her .... she might trash it.....

Is there any other way to know ...

you should get the FP notice and not the Attorney. in my case, both time I have received it. I am not sure if Attorney also receives it.

Actually, your question is not silly. If a FP notice has been issued, and you do not get your FP done within the stiputaled time, your application is considered abandoned. Now, if a notice has been mailed and you have not received it for various reasons, then how are you to know that a notice was issued at all if the online status does not change? BCIS is strange......

Both the attorney and the applicant will receive the FP notice, so there is a minimum chance of loosing it. Atleast in my case I and also my attorney both received the notices.

Thanks

I forgot to mention ...

I have recently changed address and have already informed CIS through

1. MAIL [ AR 11 ]
2. PHONE CALL

I see some people complaining about the mail from CIS sent to the old address even though, the Address change has been acknowledged by CIS .....

That's why I am afraid that I may never know whether there has been a FP request issued by CIS .... or not ....

Sent to my lawyer [ old ]
sent to my previous address ......

Get my point ???? there seems no chance of knowing it .... hope they send it to my new address ..... if ever they generate one ....

in my case both me and my attorney received FP notice, but my attorney got the notice 2 weeks before me (go figure...)

i actually had the similar question in mind, i'm planning to move in 2 months, and i'm worried if the mail would get missed in the mail trasfer or something...

but keeping good faith in US postal system and the lawyer!!!
have to trust at least some..
