A remark on kashmir data

There is one thing that bothers me about scanned date (kashmir project etc).
According to it, half of Dec 01 - Jan 01 cases are not approved yet (Dec 01: 2125 total/ 1391 approved; Jan 02 : 2807 total/ 0947 approved). It is strange if one takes into account that almost all Dec01 crowd that used to hang out at our forum
is not here anymore (that is the guys got approved)...

what people post here is not representative enough. Scans are more representative as far as online status reflects actual status.

Take everything with a pinch of salt, the data on the INS website is not the ultimate source of truth. Half the time it doesn't seem to work correctly.

But I would lend credence to this portal posts, just because of the diverse nature of the crowd and the number of people who post on it. I would Dec/Jan cases are close to over, with Feb cases pending. But then that is my opinion.

I am a dec 01 filer and still not approved. my LUD or case status page has not changed and i have received RFE. I am not active on this forum either - totally frustrated at the delays.
WAC-02-077

CIS is not good at updating data at on line status system. My I-140 is approved on March 21 2004 and they updated the status y'day as approved. That is also I guess because I sent my address change request.

So the scan need not be 100 % correct. Its as good as the online status system, thats what you have to understand.

What about all the family based I-485s? Though all the CSC I-485s are employment based, but some of district offices like Santa Ana process family based I-485. Do they assign WAC number or something else?

I may cancel the Project Kashmir 2 anytime.

Kashmir,

I did not expect such a childish reply. Come on, you are doing a great service to the community. Everybody knows it, so I did not feel obliged to repeat the obvious in my first posting. What I really wanted to debate is not whether it is worth to continue the project , but rather how to interpret the data.

Best,

P.S. I bet nobody knows what my nik means. :)

I think it is totally up to you, Kashmir if you want to continue with the reports or not. Thanks to you and desi-bartender putting the code out there, anyone who is interested can start their own reporting structure. Thanks for your efforts for such a long time. It is totally understandable that you want to spend more time with your family now that you have no personal interest in the situation any more, so good luck with whatever decision you make. :)

fine&jadwin,

I'll bite, so what is the significance behind the name? Thought they were your two cats or something. :)
