A friend of my wife's from Russia married a man while on a business visa. Things went south for the marriage fast. Domestic violence charges were filed against the husband (American). That was only the start I personally seen several cases of mental abuse against this women. After a short investigation I found out this man was already married and had not divorced his previous wife. My wife’s friend M. wants to stay here in the US is there any way she can? I thought about filing an I-360 for her but don't know if she could since now it appears that the marriage was never valid. Any suggesting?

Addition Information:
She has exceeded her stay on her current visa.

really sorry to hear about that russian woman

she "may be" qualified for battered spouse protection for greencard.

she had to prove somehow that her marriage is genuine atleast from her side.

how do you say the marriage is not valid. her husband as committed fraud and it is illegal to get married to another women when the he is already legally married to another women (per law). you friend "may not" have any issue with this. if the marriage is registered then she might be ok eventhough it is illegal for her husband to have 2 legally existing married wife at the same time.

there were too many issues involved. its better to consult a very good immigration lawyer and act accordingly.

whatever you do make sure her husband does not know anything about you people approaching lawyers or legal help. do what the immigration lawyers say.

My brother and sister in law both married in Manila, Philippines. They have a G5 visa because sister in law is working in world bank. My brother discovered that his wife was previously married and is having an affair with his boss"OK is the name" in world bank which resulted to separation. The problem is that my brother is a dependent, his wife did not renew his working permit and G5 Visa. My brother decided to leave america bec. he was out of job for several months waiting for the renewal of the working permit. Unfortunately, they need some documents in world bank which his wife wont give him. Cant he apply for an Green card because he had working there for more than 12 years and he has a daughter to be with even in weekends. Arent the immigration going to convict persons who keeps on marrying. They are not afraid of the law. Police said that my brother and his wife married in Manila and the previous marriage was in Califonia. Is this fair? Do they really know the Law? Or was the police been paid?

My sister in law committed bigamy and falsified american documents. She got married 1985 in Califonia with a navy guy and 1989 with my brother in Manila, Philippines. Police says its okay because my sister in law did not got married in the same country. In their (brother and sister in law) marriage contract, she indicated there that she is single when the got married. My sister in law is a wise lady who works in work bank virginia and now having an affair with his boss whose name is "OK". This lady can make wrong things right. I dont know how she does it. This is what you call facts of life. I just pity my brother whose so depressed thinking of her daughter whose in virginia. His wife did not renew his working permit and G5 Visa thats why he had no choice but to sell their house which he was paying and shared it with my sister in law 50/50 bec. its the law. Sometimes life is not fair.

Everything I posted is true. The story is like impossible but its true. That s life have to live with it. How I wish my sister in law would be able to read this or people from the world bank. She hurt lots of people. I dont care about the money she got from my brother. I just hope she ll change her ways from using people to caring people.
