A quick question

I am filing for GC for my parents. I am a U.S. Citizen. I live in Md and filed I-130 for myparents at Vermont on June 15, 2003. I failed to submit I-485 and associated documents concurrently. Can I send a copy of the receipt to Vermont and submit the I-485, etc (Baltimore center papers to be filed in VT), or I am doomed to wait until the I-130 is cleared?

Thank you,
Vijay

I did the same thing and I was told that you can file the I-485 papers even though the I-130 is filed already. So I reckon you should do like you said file the I-485 and send a copy of the receipt for the I-130 with them.

Good Luck!

Thanks for responding ozziegal; I hope it works too, but it appears that they amy also send it back blindly saying wait until the I-130 petition is approved.

I-485 can be filled along with the receipt of I-130 as long as your parents are in US at the time of filling.....

goodluck
