If you travel with AP, do you have to turn in I-94 card to the CIS before you
are boarding the airplane, then get a new one when you return to US?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you do need to turn it over and fill in a new one on arrival. It will get stamped with the parole stamp.

Not needed, if you fly to Canada

If you are flying to Canada, you will not be surrendering your old I-94. When you are paroled in back to the US at the Canadian post, you will be granted a new I-94 which will say, "paroled until ____."
