A Quick Question about I-140 Form (NIW)

Dear Friends,
I am a post-doc in a state university and am planning to apply for NIW by the end of this month (self petition). I am a little concern about the type of information that I need to put in Part 5 and 6 of I-140 form to avoid denial of my petition because of the temporary nature of my position.

Part 5: There is a question about "Occupation". Should I answer: Research Associate, Post-Doctoral Research Associate, or something else?

Part 6: There is a question says: "Is this a permanent position?" Should I mark Temporary or Permanent?

Looking forward to receive some feedbacks,
Thanks for your time,
Reza

well NIW will not get denied owing to temporary nature of job as NIW doesnot need basic job requirements.

now it depends on what ur offer letter says about ur position use that particular word only. remember it varies with my university/department.

also, if it is RA some university calls posiion permanent "at will".

I think for NIW "job offer not required". Hence, I would fill "job offer not required" in Part (5). I will fill permanent position in Part (6). By the way you need to fill out ETA form as well. In that form I would fill out everything...like postdoc... details etc.
