A question regarding refugee asylee reletive petition

Hi everyone,
It has been almost 8 months since I applied for refugee asylee relative petition for my wife, who is back in my country. Yesterday i sent an email inquiry to TSC. Here is the response I received today:

"The case is currently pending in the file room and has not yet been forwarded to the Work station. Once the case is forwarded to the work station it will take about thirty days for processing. Please allow sixty to ninety days before your next inquiry".

TSC Asylum Duty Officer.

Do you have any idea why the case has been in the file room so long, and how long it will take to get forwarded to the work station.?

Any reasonable respond will be greatly appreciated.

Are you an asylee or refugee originally? Did you file I-730 for your spouse?
 
8 months? you have to wait at least 12 months before they will mail you approval letter for you and your family back in your country, then back in your country, it will take at least four to 9 months before the embassy stuff will call you and give your family some letters which says your family can fly to US and be admitted as asylees.
so whole process takes at least 2 years I think. I am saying this based on what I know what happened to my close relatives asylees.

TSC is processing I-730s that were received on or before January 25, 2007. Since you say you filed 8 months ago, you are still within the processing timeframe.
 
In my experience.I sent my I-730 application to NSC on 11/06 and I received ND the same month. 01/07 approval notice. 04/07, first appointment at the uscis office of COP. more evidence has been asked and I did so. And 08/07 everything was ok. then 10/07 welcome to my relatives.
