Hello,
My I485 is approved recently. The company that I am working for is not a big company and I am currently not getting the salary stated in my I140. I think the lawyer told my employer that they do not have to pay me the salary stated in I140 until I get my Green Card. Here are my questions:
1. Should my employer start paying the salary stated in I140 just after I485 approval or after GC?
2. If my employer fails to do that what options do I have?

Thank you very much for your help.

I agree

xyz_999,

Although you could push your company to pay you the correct amount, it would be best to just leave them and look for another job. Why would you want to work for cheats anyway? Now that you are free, use the freedom to your advantage. Wait for 6 months to switch jobs to be on the safe side.

Thank you both very much.
So the employer does not have to pay me the amount they told they would give. Doesn’t this give me any right to quit immediately?
Thanks,
