a question about I-864: is the 125% limit required for 3 yrs

Hi, I'm filing I-485 through my wife, a USC. My wife is a student so we need to use my income for the affidavit of support. We have filed tax jointly for the last 2 years (I filed tax in the last 3 yrs), but only in the last year my income is above the 125% of poverty limit because I just graduated. Is it ok that I only qualify in the most recent year?

Yes, it's perfectly fine. They consider most recent year for the 125%Pl. Plus if if you are combining income, she has to fill in I-864A. They still need all 3 years though. You'l be fine. Read the instructions carefully. All the info you have to use is the the digits from your most recent Tax year
