A question about a successful Interview and Oath date

This question is for those who have successfully taken the interview and oath in a formal ceremony..

Does the USCIS Immigration officer offers an Oath date right after the completion of a successful interview session or he/she tells to wait for the oath letter in mail?
If the IO offers an Oath date after the interview, does the IO hands over the oath letter right away to the candidate before leaving the office?

I had my interview last Tuesday at Tampa and the officer told me I had passed. I then asked about the oath, and he said he would try and get me in on February 26th, I the had to wait for the oath letter in the mail yesterday for an oath next Friday. It all depends on which office you are being interviewed it, some offer same day oath, others provide the oath letter at the end of teh interview, others like Tampa mail the oath letter.
 
It depends not only on how they operate in your specific location, but also on the specifics of your case. If your case needs additional review that cannot be completed immediately, you'll have to wait for the oath letter in the mail, even if they regularly give same-day oaths at that location.
 
Jack is right...it warries from one location to another....In Chicago for example, if you agree and accept the proposed oath date (usually offered for successful interview with no complications), you get the Oath letter before leave USCIS office...And usually do not get letter if there is name change/decision can be made or etc OR if you say you can not do at the proposed oath date.
