Hello Guys,
My I-140 approved today and now i am getting ready for the CP.
I have read almost every link which RAJU and KD1403 suggested(Thanx for giving such useful info) , and gathered most of the info.
but i have one question....

I have read in one of the threads that it is better and FAST to get the packet 4 from the consulate to ur overseas address as this will save time, Is this true??????

and if i want to do that,when do i need to specify that.For other correspondence i want my attorney to take care.

It is true that getting the packet 4 to an address in India is
faster.

The reason for this is as follows:

(I am assuming you are from India)

Normally the consulates finalize the list of interviewees for a month, by approximately 15th of the earlier month (The list of May will be made ready by around 15th of April).
They start sending out the packet 4s by the 1st week of the month of the interview. If it has to come to a US address it would take roughly 10 to 15 days. So, if you have the travel plans you would be under suspense whether the packet would reach you in time.
On the other hand if you give an address in India it would reach that address and will be waiting for you.

So, this is the main reason why people give an alternate address
in India. You can actually provide this after your case reaches
the US Consulate.

This is basically your choice. There are several candidates who
have received the packet 4 here in US.

Select a way which suits you best.

Thanx Raju,
Actually i got confused with the form 3032(Agent for choice), Now i am assuming it is for the corresponndence with NVC and not consulate. correct me if i am wrong.
And do i need to send an email OR fill any form to tell the consulate to send packet4 to India address when my case reaches them.

{You are right. But I remember reading that the attorney also
gets a copy of the appointment letter, so it is not only the
NVC}

{You can send them an email with the address once the
case reaches them (say 15 days after the NVC send the
file to the consulate}
