A Proposal for Everyone on This Forum re Thanks & Congrats

May I propose that we write directly (I.e. send personal message) to the person we want to thank/congratulate? I try to follow absolutely everything on this forum and it is very time consuming to open unread links just to find another "thank you" or "congratulations". I am all for congratulating and thanking people (myself included, ha ha) but you can always send a private message...just a thought! Thank you all - keep on rockin' in the free world...

Very good point

I agree with espressojoy the reason being that we are congratulating one person not everyone in the forum and as long as that person gets your sincere congrats, I don't think anybody would mind. But it definitely save some people a lot of time (myself included) who read every message there is.

Somehow, I do not I agree with you guys on this, my reason is that we always urge forum members to post their experience which we generally discuss, to thank them when they announce their success should equally be an open forum, it should not be any problem to read peoples reactions which is normal.
 
And let me add that if you been here long enough you would ve known Irina's story. we all felt for her as she strugled for so long. everytime there is a developpment regarding her case she comes straight and let us know, So i don't see any reason why we shouldn't congratulate her in this forum.

I agree, Irina C really deserves hearty congratulations - I just think that if you send her a private message, it has the exactly same effect - she still gets it.

The only way for me to use this forum is at work and I really have so little time. When I came tot he US I was using a library computer with limited access - I did not have my own PC. I imagine there are people in that situation; or with slow connections, etc. So it really gets to be time consuming if you open 3 or 4 links and the only addition is "thank you". Like I said, a personal note has the same effect.
