i was granted asylum 2002 . somebody told me you can't travel with a travel document because your visa expired before you apply for asylum. Is it true?
somebody said that u can have an RTD but they will not let you enter the USA because you did not apply to Asylum while your visa was valid.

What visa? Of course you can not travel with your home passport but you can apply for a refugee travel document. Go to INS forms and fill a form titled I-131. It takes 5 months to obtain it. Good luck
