A number in Medical Exam left blank, please help!!

Hello everyone,

I got my medical exam done few months before I-140 was approved. There is (A number) in the medical exam form which was left blank. As I understand, (A number) you get with I-140 approval notice.

1) Did anybody else leave A number blank in the medical form?
2) Did the case get approved without any problems?
3) I have the medical exam in sealed envelope. What can I do at this point?

There was no A# in my 140 approval notice. I have left it blank in all forms sent to INS last week. Lawyer said it is fine as no A# was assigned to us. I think u get an A# on your 485 receipt.

Thanks for responding. There are 2 copies of I140 approval notice - official copy which the lawyer gets and courtesy copy which the employer gets. I don\'t know if both copies are same. I have the courtesy copy and that doesn\'t show the A# as well. Don\'t know if the lawyer gets A#.

Does anybody else know about A#, please respond.

Yes, I ever faced the same question. When I asked my doctor
she said don\'t worry about it. Leave it blank. I think she has been
doing this kind of stuff everyday. It\'s not a big deal.

A# is allocated after I-485 receipt.
Even in I-485 application, this column is generally left blank. You will know your A# when you get your FP notice. This is the practice with VSC. I dont know about other centers.
