as if wives in this world cannot survive without these wishes from their respective husbands and are dying for them..

Roran - you got it all worng.

The wives can survive with or without wishes - only the husbands are precariously in danger in case they forget the dates - they may be deported from bed room to sleep on couch and a temporary 1 day/ 7 day ban may apply.

Don't even talk about my husband. Two years back, he bought me a wall clock for my b'day !!:D

Thanks for your suggestion. My husband will be more than happy. His policy is that a gift should benefit everyone and should not be treated on a self centered basis.:)

If I forget my wife's birthday / our anniversary because I'm thinking of our I-485's non stop, it should be excused.

A genuine question: My I94 expires this march. Should I be concerned ? My 485 is pending and am working on EAD.

Thanks. I have reached to a point, where anything wrong(expiry,out of status) will not affect me in any way. Worst come worse I will be thrown out of this country which I will take it in my stride and live a happy life in India.
I have made a point to my husband that I will no way work after going back.:)
Enough of this day to day hectic life.:(

Just hang in there - it will be over soon like a long lasting labor pain. Actually one of my friend very recently got his approval from Cleveland ( who is a RFE case like you and RD of Oct 31 '01), so I tend to believe INS is working, may be at a snail's pace.
