1. Does anybody know how long it takes in Florida to fingerprints and Interview? I live close to Tampa area.
2. It says on the Guide to Naturalization - pag 53 the following:
If you have a dependent spouse or children who do not live with you, send:
q Any court or government order to provide financial support; AND
q Evidence of your financial support (including evidence that you have complied with any court or government order), such as:
• cancelled checks
• money order receipts
• a court or agency printout of child support payments
• evidence of wage garnishments
• a letter from the parent or guardian who cares for your children
My question is: I do have my 12 years old son who lives temporarily with my ex-husband. My present husband made a petition I-130 for him to immigrate but it still not ready.
I never had to pay child support because I have an agreement with the kid's father that I renounced a property we had for the child and that would be the child support. How can I do now?
3. Do I have to include in Part 9 - Information about your children the name of my husband's son an daughter? I read on the Instructions and tells you need to mention all the Stepsons or stepdaughters you have.
4. I'm applying based on 3 years of marriage to a US Citizen. On Part 7 of the form N-400 the first question is "How many total days did you spend outside of the United States during the past five years?"
I'm only for 3 year here. If I count all days I was out in the past 5 years I will end up with 2 years away, right?
Shouldn't the question have the following... or in the past 3 years if you are married to a US Citizen?
5. I'm living here since 09 2003. But when I renewed my greencard to remove the conditions, my new CG came with a wrong "RESIDENT SINCE" date. In the new one says that I'm here since 11/2005. Would it be a problem?
We called the immigrantion and asked them to issue another one, but they said it wasn't necessary? I'm not sure if they said that only to don't have any trouble or it really doesn't matter.
6. My husband was born in another country and got citizenship through his mom. She is american, and since he was a kid she got his passport. On Part 8, Question D 1 "When did your spouse become a U.S. citizen?" can I answer At birth?
I'm concerned about all these questions. Could you please help me?
